My Top 10 Best Games of the Year 2015 -Gist

Well, let me start off by saying this is my personal list so please don't  hate on my opinion, each person has a different experience with the game, so be thoughtful.

*Not in any particular order*

10. Halo 5

This game was highly anticipated by many fans, it did live up to the hype and was an extraordinary experience playing through the campaign, but since the campaign was so short and left me wanting more out of this game it is lower than the others in my list. The multiplayer is super fun and the new mechanics they have added just makes the experience all the while better.

9. Life is Strange

This game was a fresh-new game that nobody knew would leave the person at the end mind-fucked. The experience playing through this game, made you think before you made decisions that later on you might regret, the going back in-time feature was a new thing, and gave us the opportunity to go back and correct our wrongs. This game overall was overwhelming, how could anyone know that the life a teenage girl could be so rough?

8. Rocket League

Cars+Football= Intense fun. This game is a casual multiplayer game that blew everyone's expectations sky-high. It is fun especially with friends and be quite honest i cant stop playing it.

7. Metal Gear Solid: Phantom Pain

The not-last installment since Konami is working on a new one without Kojima (Idiots). Kojima's last MGS game lest us blown away with its lengthy campaign and its new open-world style. The new weapons, dog and Quiet who is one of my favorite characters all left us, speechless. Even though the game feels empty at times it is totally worth a play, if your a fan of Kojima's work or just want a new game to play.

6. Batman Arkham Knight

The last game by RockSteady Studios was a nice conclusion to the amazing series. Adding the batmobile and new combat mechanics kept us thrilled to continue on our journey to find out who the Arkham Knight is. The villains and the Joker (who was adored by many) give the game a sense of achievement and a verdict to the Death of the Bat.

5. Assassins creed Syndicate

This is the latest installment in the series, and in my opinion one of the best ones, the mechanics that they added and the addition of the ability to play with two different characters that are twins and are completelty different styles from each other. One Stealthy the other a Brute. The story is basically the same as the others but, there is no game-breaking bugs or frame-drop which gives it a plus compared to its prequel Unity.

4. Need For Speed (2015)

The game that took 2 year to develop brought back the game that we have always wanted, its basically an Underground 3, which is something that all the fans of the series have wanted, Ghost Games keeps making the game even better with free DLC and multiplayer only style, which makes the game feel alive and like a car infested city of Ventura-Bay.

3. Just Cause 3

EXPLOSIONS!! That is the main fun-factor of this game and it never gets boring since you have so many things you can place explosives on and make cool montages. Rico looks way better than he ever has in the games, and the addition of a hook-shot and a gliding-suit makes the game even more fun to play. I cant wait to see what the developers have install for the next few months for us.

1&2 i still have no idea its a hard decision with all the amazing games that have come out this year so give me a little time for this one :D Maybe you guys can suggest me some ;)

Wanna work on a new Metal Gear Solid go to Konami.. -News

After Kojima left two days ago, Konami has already published an article on their site looking for people to work on the next installment of Metal Gear Solid. This is a bold yet stupid move by Konami since most fans liked the franchise for Kojimas work, Konami was only a means that he could produce and show his work to the public. So stating that they are working on the sequel is just another reason to despise Konami with a passion. I bet a year from now they will regret their decisions when they get less sales then they expect. Lets see how this news is evaluated by the gaming community.

Jack The Ripper DLC Gameplay -Video

Gameplay
This new DLC that Ubisoft has developed seems to be more interesting and deep then the base-game itself, the fact that you are able to play as the Ripper himself makes me want it to be released as soon as possible. The game is set 20 years in the future from the events of Syndicate and you play as Evie who is now looking for her "missing" brother. The Ripper has a different fighting style than the twins, which adds an interesting and intriguing mechanic into the game it is called the "Fear" style, which means that you will brutally murder and screech in front of foes and pedestrians alike.

Kojima Productions create a deal with Sony -News

The new development studio is now called "Kojima Productions", and Kojima has now made a deal with Sony to make a collaborated game that will release on PS4 and in the near future PC. We still dont have any details on the game that the team is working on but since its Hideo Kojima we need not worry. He is known for his award-winning writting and game design as we see with the "Metal Gear Solid" series which is still licensed by Konami. So Kojima has to make something completely new.

Call of Duty Points more like money snatcher... -News

Activision has announced that they will be adding something called Call of Duty Points which to a gamer means "Microtransactions" giving you an edge of an advantage to other players who do not place money on their account. With theses points you can buy more supply drops and get more items in zombies. $2 for 200, $10 for 1,000 (+100 bonus), $20 for 2,000 (+400 bonus), and $40 for 4,000 (+1,000 bonus). These are the price listings for the points. Its a sad truth what our gaming community has come to, making us pay real money to get virtual items that will just be left in that one game and not move to another, even though this is a yearly released game....

Interactive Trailer

Hideo Kojima Leaving Konami to create his own Studio -News

Source

Well it turns out we were right that Konami were being absolute douches to Hideo, and he decides to leave. Konami got booed at the "Game Awards" and reportedly banned Kojima to come and claim his award which increased the hate towards Konami. If Hideo Kojima can pull himself up and actually pull through with making his own Studio, we will have some of the best narrative driven games out there, he is known for Metal Gear Solid, well if he can get his rights back then we will have more future games and an amazing developer who deserves every gamer support.

Ghost in a Shell new Gameplay -Video

The Gameplay by Ethos

This Anime inspired FPS on PC, has been highly anticipated by a lot of players for its relase on the 14th of December. The gameplay seems like a generic FPS looking like a boot-leg version of Call of Duty but it seems to have an anime twist to it, with a less realistic take onto the fps genre of games. Play as an elite augmented soldier, where your unique skillsets and weaponry make you faster, tougher and more lethal than any human combatant in the urban battlefields of the future. Combine unique abilities with your team via SkillSync, to decimate your enemies and turn the tide of the battle. Fight on the front lines of a dark, dystopian cyberpunk world in this intense first person shooter inspired by the critically acclaimed franchise.  This description of the game certainly depicts what we see in the gameplay footage. We will have to see what is in store for us with this game in the future.

Ethos Gaming, allowed me to use his footage for this game. He is also known for being a good friend of the Black Hokage and being a part of the gaming illuminaughty podcast on Youtube. Please take a look at his channel, if you want to see a different take on gaming.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is Turning into Life is Strange... -News

Now, I know what you may be thinking how do these two games have anything in common except for being published by the same company Square Enix. Well Final Fantasy 7 Remake has just been revealed to us that it will be an episodic game, this is understandable since the original PS1 game had 6-7 discs, this game is huge and especially with today's graphics Hooo baby it will be a doozy.... But this will also mean that we will have to buy each episode like with Life is Strange.. Lets see how this fairs up with hardcore old-school gamers. I personally believe that this a economic approach/Developing problem, this approach means that Square Enix will make more money and produce more content for us which is great, but they might be hiding the fact that while you are playing episode 1 they would be making episode 2 since this is such an immensely huge game.

Uncharted 4 has "Few" Player Choices -News

Uncharted 4 Creative Director expressed on a podcast with Kinda Funny games that "There's a few spots in the game where we felt a dialogue option would give us something interesting. So with Sam talking to Nate about his previous adventures, we were like, 'Oh, this is kind of a cool nod to the fans' [...] So where would Nate start the story, which one? Let's give the player the option and they can start the story however they want." At the end he expresses how this is nothing like a Tell-Tale game and they placed this function into this game to tie in the three predecessors to this game and flashback to them and give old-time players nostalgia for the last game in the series.

Call of Duty BlackOps III gets an Update -News

Source

What the update does is unclear yet since Activision have not released a Statement saying exactly what has changed, but from what players can see, there is a new "Quick Join" option on the multiplayer menu to make it simpler to join your favorite game modes. The Black Market has also gained three new weapons to go for, "Wrench" , "Butter Knife" and "Brass Knuckles". That should keep players busy until the next DLC or update.

Source

Dan Vaderlind addresses the fact on twitter, It seems that Dice is not done with their Call of Duty rival and continue on their best installment which if the source is true, do better than the launch of Battlefront did; It did not live up to the hype and is quite frankly boring and repetitive with no point of the leveling up system.

Source Trailer

Tekken's developer Bandai Namco have no doubt made games with Capcom Street Fighter, as we can see with Tekken X Street Fighter. It appears that now Akuma who is a very popular character in the Street Fighter series is part of the main plot of Tekkens storyline, Street Fighter has done this several times before but not at such a huge scale. We will have to wait and see what this could lead to in the future. Two rival Games fusing into one huge universe maybe....

Reveal The Deep (Indie Game) -Review

Game Trailer

Reveal The Deep is an Indie game that is developed and produced by Lazy Monday Games. It in my opinion is a very underrated game and should have more exposure. The game is based underwater but does not follow a linear plot, furthermore you have to explore your way through a sunken ship that contains sea creatures and eerie music to chill you to the bones, but if your like me then that shouldnt stop you from playing such an atmospheric and beautiful game. The game is 2D and reminds me very much of SOMA, but in my opinion this is better, the game gives you the freedom of letting you explore and roam through the ship;solving puzzles and finding letters to further progress yourself through the Chapter system game. A very major downside to this game is that you cannot save your progress until you have reached th eend of the chapter; which means that players cannot just pick up and play this game unless they are willing to sit for a while a play. Also this game is only on PC but hopefully will be moved to other platforms, to enjoy the beauty which is Reveal The Deep. I personally give it a 7/10 with the only downside being the save feautre and that the game is quite short.

Uncharted 4 Has no plans for "Open Beta" -News

Gamespots Gameplay

Naughty Dogs Uncharted 4 is currently in Closed-Beta state and according to the developer have no intent in making it Open-Beta. Uncharted 4 is the next big installment by Naughty Dog which is last game that involves Nathan Drake, it was announced at E3 2015 and ever since then the hype has been real my friends. A lot of popular youtubers and even IGN and Gamespot had hands-on experience with the game and have all cam to the same conclusion: The movement is smooth and controllable and the multiplayer is fun and addicting. We now all have to wait until the release which is on March 18th of next year.

Far Cry Primal -Gameplay

Developer Walkthrough

Far cry has come a long way since its first title, Far Cry 3 in my opinion was the best of the series and the sequel Far Cry 4 was just that but with better graphics and more explosiveness, well it seems that the developers at Ubisoft have gone back to the past with Primal, from the gameplay we can see that the game has gone back to the stone age, with weapons such as spears and even taming animals to attack for you. A lot of critics have been noting that in the gameplay we can see that the character has a grappling hook, which at the time should not be available.

New Indie Game: SHINESS -Trailer

The Trailer

This new indie game by Focus Home Interactive seems promising and an interesting RPG,
the combat seems to be a Hack-and-Slash style with anime text popping up each time you land a hit; which appears to be played out well. The art-style is colorful and exquisite, showing us a relaxing and casual RPG with a pick-up and play feel. The Five characters that are playable are designed well and each have their own unique personality and maybe class too. We will have to see what platforms this game will be released on and soon learn more about this game. Expect further news from me :)

Final Fantasy VII remake gameplay trailer- Analysis

The Trailer

16 years after the release of the "Best game ever created" as some say, Final Fantasy VII is being remade in HD by Square Enix and ever since it was announced at E3 2015, Playstation has not stopped from teasing us gameplay and news on the big launch.
This trailer shows us the new outstanding graphics of the remake compared to the pixeled version, we also can see from the trailer that there is a new fighting-system and is no longer Turn-based but is taking a more modern approach to RPGs which is hack and slash such as Kingdom Hearts which is made by the same company. We hear in the trailer the voices of some of the characters from the first mission, by the looks of it they sound quite good and that the developers have caught the personalities of the characters through their voice choice. I personally do not like the way that Barret sounds or looks, he is wearing shades at night for crying out loud!! I believe that it is a stereotypical approach to colored people.

It is an interesting concept and we will see the outcome and how they adapt this tale into a video-game DLC.

My take on Styx: Master of Shadows

Styx: Master of Shadows Review

This is my review that i have written up on Styx. Ultimately the gameplay is mediocre and the plot is average with forgettable and badly voice acted characters.

Gist of the whole game: Meh 7/10
